EGFR Resisters Announcements/Updates

Big News! Bigger Steps! Bold Action! EGFR Resisters Becoming a 501c3 Non-Profit

*January 2025*

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As we welcome a new year, we are thrilled to announce that EGFR Resisters is becoming an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization! As an independent organization, we are committed to providing you with the opportunities and resources you have come to expect and much, much more – expanding opportunities to come together, driving targeted research, and strengthening our advocacy for people impacted by EGFR-positive lung cancer.

Since 2017, our growth has been extraordinary. We’ve built a network of over 6,000 patients and caregivers across more than 100 countries. Our resources, from EGFR-specific webinars and fact sheets to an up-to-date clinical trial spreadsheet, empower patients and families to make informed decisions, navigate challenges, and find support in a knowledgeable, caring community. Together, we have raised over $1 million to fund vital research, but as you know, our impact goes well beyond the numbers. As a result of our work – patients, caregivers, and oncology professionals now have access to life-changing information and support tailored to the unique challenges of the EGFR-positive community.

Cancer knows no boundaries, but neither does this community. Over the past seven years, EGFR Resisters have shown the power of coming together for a common cause. Thank you for being a part of this journey. We are deeply grateful for the awareness and funds you have helped raise, the respect you bring to patients and loved ones, and the HOPE you share. We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the LUNGevity Foundation for its unwavering support and for serving as our fiscal sponsor during this time of transition.

Despite everything we have accomplished, there’s still so much to do. As we grow, we’ll focus on emerging issues like brain metastasis, leptomeningeal disease, and combination treatments, and we will provide new survivorship resources to help people live longer, better lives. We aim to build an organization that meets our community’s evolving needs, improving the lives of everyone impacted by lung cancer.

We are all in this together – Please donate today. Your contribution, big or small, has fueled our mission and driven our growth. Now, more than ever, we need your support as we strive to meet our community’s evolving needs and improve the lives of everyone affected by EGFR-positive lung cancer.

With immense gratitude,

Jill Feldman
Co-Founder and President EGFR Resisters
